Stacy N. Mitchell, writer, poet, motivational speaker, and author of Party Over Here, is a native New Yorker who currently resides in South Florida. She is an accomplished art teacher with 21 years of experience working with children from diverse backgrounds. Stacy uses literary content to drive her lessons and to actively engage students in the learning process. Her dedication to her students has been a rewarding experience. Recognized as Teacher of the Year twice and nominated eight times, Stacy is truly an honored and valued asset to her school community. The Sun-sentinel, the Herald, and the Plantation Forum have featured articles on her as it relates to art education, community outreach, and Operation Valentine for U.S. Troops. She encourages children to develop a love for reading and helps them understand that reading is the key component to being successful in all subject areas as well as life itself. Reading should be an intriguing and joyous experience between the writer, the reader and the listener. It is also equally important that adults enjoy reading to children. This engagement will make a lasting impression on young readers. Knowing this, Stacy writes to capture her audience, inspire creative thoughts, and to provide an experience that will make everyone think, laugh, wonder, and laugh some more.
