Oliver Oates
Alif Yah'ya is the 12th child of John Walker and Alice Watkins Oates.His given name is Oliver Christi Oates. The name Alif although it is Arabic can also be spelled Aleph which is Hebrew and is the closest he could name himself to his mother without using the feminine Alice. The name Yah?ya is Arabic for John. Thus this son of John and Alice has taken both their names for his own. His education includes Sterling High School in Sheffield Alabama, Alverson Draughton school of Business in Florence Alabama, Joseph Drake Technical School in Huntsville Alabama, Lasalle University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia. He has worked many jobs in may fields for a diverse set of employees: such as taxi driver, truck driver, school bus driver, trolley and subway operator, electrical lineman, school teacher, revenue accountant, tax officer, benefits analyst, and he is a veteran of the United States Air Force. However, his passion has always been writing which he now chooses to pursue.
