Hadeel Ismail is a Lebanese American author who has always had an interest in literature. She started writing fiction in her teenage years to create an alternate world in which she can be distracted from the realities of life. She also had a passion for English and Arabic poetry and was able to relate to the anguish of love and loss that were often the subjects of poems. She learned to express her struggle with abandonment and un-belonging through her own writing. Putting her heartache on paper has helped her heal and overcome a difficult childhood and the struggle of living in a world where she never felt loved or accepted. Through her poetry she learned - and hopes to teach others - that love and acceptance come from within.
