Francisco Vega
My name is Francisco A Vega. I was born with hydrocephalus, commonly known as fluid on the brain. Shortly after being born the medical personnel rushed me to the ER and placed a VP shunt in my head to release the pressure from my brain. I kept having complications with my VP shunt growing up and in the year 2000 I went blind. I may have lost my vision, but I never lost the vision in my mind or my heart. I have always aspired to become a writer. However, with all of the tribulations circling my life it just did not seem feasible.
At the age 17, I lived with my dad in Puerto Rico. I was a merchandiser for a toy company, a showroom organizer and presenter of new toys on my island. When I lost my vision I felt as though I had lost everything, but I did not. You can never lose your dreams and I have had many dreams through out the years. Creating my own invention with professional help, I keep reaching for the stars. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Remember the world is yours.
In the year 2008, I became a dad to a healthy baby boy name Mariano, whom I love beyond words. I had never given up on my dreams. My oldest brother Javier always encouraged me to never give up on my dreams and that there is always a way to reach your dreams. My thanks to him for believing in me. To my fiance Rosa C Baez, thank you so much for believing in me and supporting my ideas. Love you always.
I hope to find some exposure and learn new experience.
