Aminga Burton-Bracy
Poetry has always intrigued Aminga. Although writing wasn't
initially the career path she chose, she gracefully surrendered
youthful desires and career to write. Growing up on the Eastern
Caribbean Island of Antigua where the motto is, "each
endeavoring, all achieving" positively shaped her life and
aspirations—motivating her to value people more than things,
while helping hurt people.
Aminga received a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University and despite acceptance into an MBA program she accepted her 'true calling'—writing. She earned a membership into the American Poets Society via entry into poetry contests. Also, she is a nominee for the International Poet Society 2002 poet of the year award. Through writing, she hopes to inspire others to become conquerors.
