Present in Brazil since 2004, SM Educação works to encourage reading and develop reflection and creativity in children and young people, forming critical readers, raising their awareness about the world in which they live, and supporting teachers' work in their role as educators. The diversity of themes, variety of genders, authors, and illustrators – both Brazilian and foreigners –, classical and contemporary works, and literary and graphic quality are trademarks of the books in our collections. With around 300 titles, the catalog was elaborated with young readers in mind. It respects their needs, fantasies and anxieties, without ignoring the importance of learning and reflection.
