How does a family born? "Azizi, the precious gift" is a story of affection and welcome inspired by real cases of interracial adoption in which fathers and mothers are challenged by Brazilian structural racism questioning the possibility of people of different races becoming a family: a black boy adopted by white parents, who finds in the color differences the unity of the family, of life, of hugging, of love. The affective bonds between Azizi, her mother and father are strengthened in the difference of races. Azizi's excitement at tirelessly hearing the story of his arrival, "the precious gift" longed by his parents, is a portrait that notions of family go far beyond blood ties: Azizi is adopted, but also adopts his parents who together, they find in the “delicacies of life” the meaning of loving.
