In “Somewhere to fall and close my eyes for good,” Raphael Vidal seeks a philosophical paradox in his fiction: writing the memory of those who have no history. And he does as in Afro-Brazilian traditions with ancestry, which cuts through the mystery of time: he writes like someone who speaks. The saga of life and death of a rush and his distance from existential issues while seeking survival in the city, which treats him like crazy, is crossed by a companionship relationship with a homeless transvestite.
