"As a kid, you don?t really realize or understand what?s happening until you?re older. For me, life wasn?t always easy. I grew up in Plano, Texas. When I was twelve, I moved to Kansas, where I currently live. All my life, I struggled with dealing with anxiety and, as I got older, depression. I?ve dealt with feeling insecure about my body for years.

In this book, I talk about being homeless to being told I couldn?t do something that I wanted to try. I speak about my struggle with learning to deal with injuries as a runner. This is a story of true determination and perseverance to keep fighting when life gets tough."
