Frederick Gottemoeller is an architect, engineer, urban designer, and teacher. A former Deputy State Highway Administrator for the state of Maryland, Gottemoeller has collaborated in the planning and design of several major bridges, including the Woodrow Wilson Bridge across the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., and the American River Bridge in Folsom, California. He oversaw the design competition that produced the award-winning U.S. Naval Academy Bridge in Annapolis, Maryland.
