Ronald T. Hyman, Ed.D. Columbia University, is presently a professor of Education at the Graduate School of education, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., where he teaches courses on teacher supervision and evaluation. He has authored many books and articles in the field, including Improving Discussion Leadership (New York: Teachers College Press, 1980), "Testing for Teacher Competence: The Logic, the Law, and the Implications," Journal of Teacher Education (March-April 1984), and "Writing Observation Reports," Thresholds in Education (May 1984). Dr. Hyman is an active member of the New Jersey Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (State Executive Board) and frequently conducts in-service workshops on teaching strategies as well as teacher supervision and evaluation.
