Ateliê da Escrita, with multilingual books, brings printed material that combines, in its narrative course, different integrated features: ePub3, audio, video with sign language and Braille printing associated with text and illustrations. This multimodality, encompassed in a single medium, enables the reader to connect with the cultural variety of the globalized world and coexist with diversity, the integration of multiculturalism, expanding the understanding of oneself and the other. Contemporary communication technologies and communication channels require the reader to be able to deal with digital hypertexts and texts that exploit many multimodal resources, and book with its multilinear texts, propitiates the reader to expand the possible reading paths, sensorially enhancing the literary experience and, thus, contributing to the development of full reading abilities for contemporary life.
